WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Lombard St. Engine 3 was on location with a 2 1/2 story and heavy fire showing. B43 reported extension to a 2nd structure. The cause was listed as arson.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Coit St. Engine 3 was on location with a well involved 1 1/2 story vacant. Ladder 11 reported an exposure problem on the #2 side and additional equipment was sent bringing Engine 35 & Ladder 2. The fire was declared under control in about 27 minutes. This was the 2nd arson fire at this house in 3 days.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Ladner St. Engine 4 was on location with fire on the 1st floor of a 1 1/2 story. B46 reported the fire extended throughout the structure. The fire was under control in about 13 minutes.
 
BUFFALO FD AMBULANCES?:
A story was posted on Channel 4's website today regarding the Buffalo FD providing ALS Ambulance service to residents. They wouls train 56 firefighters as paramedics to start. Click Here for the article.
 
GRANT MONEY:
2 Fire Companies in Erie County recieved grant money from round 12 of the FIRE ACT grants for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety. Doyle Co. #1 recieved $45,000 & West Falls Fire Co. recieved $19,404
 
MVA:
Buffalo Firefighters responded today for a report of a MVA at Fillmore Ave and Kensington Ave. Engine 24 was on location with a 2 car MVA and requested 3 ambulances to the scene.
 
MVA:
Cleveland Hill Firefighters responded today for a report of a MVA on Harlem Rd near Huth Rd. Command was on location repoorting a car vs motorcycle MVA and requested 2 ambulances to the scene.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Hamburg Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Lakeview Rd. Command was on location reporting a working fire in a large commercial structure. It took firefighters close to an hour to get the fire under control. One firefighter suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
 
DRYER FIRE:
Getzville Firefighters responded yeaterday for a report of a dryer fire on UB's North Campus at Alumni Arena. Command was on location reporting a dryer fire.

INJURED FIREFIGHTERS:
The City of Buffalo has not yet paid medical bills for city firefighters injured in the line of duty, which has left firefighters struggling to find doctors and getting prescriptions filled.Complete Story

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Coit St. Engine 3 was on location with heavy smoke. B43 and Ladder 11 reported heavy fire in the rear of a 1 1/2 story. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes. One firefighter suffered a minor injury (ankle) fighting this blaze.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Madison St. Engine 21 was on location reporting a working fire in a 2 1/2 story with an exposure problem on the #2 side. E21 further reported the exposure on the #2 side involved, a vacant 2 1/2 story. The cause was listed as arson.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a structure fire on Sobieski St. Engine 22 was on location reporting a porch fire going good. The fire was under control in about 6 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Dodge St. Ladder 6 was on location with fire on the 2nd floor and heavy smoke from a 2 1/2 story. The fire was under control in about 12 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Ashley St. Engine 22 was on location with smoke showing from the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2 and reports of people trapped. Ladder 11 reported primary search negative. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes.

MVA:
Swormville Firefighters responded yesterday for a report of a MVA on Millersport Highway near Transit Road. Swormville 9-5 was on location with a single car MVA. One patient was transported to a local hospital.
 
MVA/CAR FIRE:
Snyder Firefighters responded for a MVA yesterday on the I290 Eastbound at the I90 Interchange. Snyder 9-2 was on location with an auto fully involved from the accident.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Kosciuszko St. Engine 22 was on location with smoke showing from a 1 1/2 story. The cause has been listed as arson and an emergency demolition was ordered.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Eaton St. Engine 21 was on location reporting a working fire in a 1 1/2 story.

2+ ALARM FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded late last night for a report of a structure fire on Wakefield Ave. Engine 24 was on location with a fully involved 2 1/2 story and fire through the roof with exposures on the #2 and #4 sides, bringing and additional 1 &1 (Engine 38, Ladder 6). Ladder 7 reported the exposure on the #4 side involved and B-47 requested the balance of the 2nd alarm bring Engines 33,36, Ladders 4,12, and B-41. B-56 reported a partial collapse of the main fire building and requested an additional 2 Engines (31, 21) to the scene for manpower. The fire was under control in about an hour and an emergency demolition was ordered. Arson has been listed as the cause.

Getzville Firefighters responded yesterday for a report of a MVA on Heim Rd. Getzville 5 was on location reporting a single MVA with 1 car through a steel fence into a stone wall. One patient was transported to the hospital.

Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday morning for a report of a structure fire on Southhampton St. Command was on location reporting a well involved 2 1/2. The fire was declared as arson and an emergency demolition was ordered.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on 14th St. B-44 was on location reporting smoke showing and a working fire in the roof of a 2 1/2 frame. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of an illegal burning on Storz Ave. Engine 23 was on location with fire showing from the rear of a 2 1/2 story house and requested the balance of the first alarm. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on East Ave. Engine 26 was on location reporting a fully involved garage fire with a possible exposure problem. The fire was under control in about 8 minutes and an emergency demolition was requested.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early yesterday morning for a report of a structure fire on Hunt St. Engine 26 was on location with a well involved 2 1/2 story vacant house.
 
MVA:
Swormville Firefighters responded on Saturday for a report of a rollover MVA at Smith and New Roads. Command was on location with a 3 car MVA and a SUV on it's side. 2 patients were transported by Rural Metro to an area hospital.
 
MVA:
Ellicott Creek Firefighters responded Saturday for a report of a MVA on Grass Point Rd. EC-9 was on location reporting a single motorcycle MVA, declaring a major injury and requested EC 7-1 first truck out.

LEVEL 1 HAZMAT:
Buffalo Firefighters and HAZMAT crews responded this evening for a spill response to the intersection of Genesee St and Barthel Ave. Engine 33 was on location reporting a tractor trailer leaking a large amount of diesel fuel from the saddle tanks. The incident was cleared in about 45 minutes.
 
GRANT MONEY:
Eggertsville Hose Company was awarded $80,705 and East Concord Fire Company was awarded $75,204 in round 10 of the FireAct Grants for Firefighters Operations and Safety.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday for a report of a structure fire on Bame Ave. Engine 23 was on location reporting a working fire in a 1 1/2 story. An emergency demolition was ordered.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Busch St with possibility of people trapped on 2nd floor. Engine 26 was on location with fire showing on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 frame. The primary search was negative and the fire was declared under control in about 17 minutes.

Ellicott Creek Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Glenhaven Dr. Command was on location with a 2 story frame and the 1st floor fully involved. Command special called Brighton to the scene for mutual aid. The fire was under control in about 12 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Koons Ave. B-43 was on location with heavy fire on the 1st floor rear and heavy smoke conditions throughout in a 2 1/2 story house. B-56 declared the fire under control in about 19 minutes and requested the arson investigator to the scene.
 
MVA:
Swormville Firefighters responded last night for a report of a MVA on Transit Rd near Millersport Highway. Swormville 8 was on location with a car vs pole MVA. The pole was sheared in half with the wires holding the top half of the pole in the air. Power was out to the area and Swormville remained on location for nearly 6 hours

FIRE TRUCK COLLISION:
2 Buffalo Firefighters from Ladder 11 and 3 civilians were injured in a MVA this evening at Franklin and Court Streets. Command on location requested Rescue 1 to the scene for extrication. Both Firefighters were extricated through the windshield of the cab. 
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Farmer St. B-44 was on location reporting heavy fire conditions on the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2. B-56 requested an additional Engine and Truck company.
 
LEVEL 1 HAZMAT:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a strong odor at the Cazenovia Ice Rink. Engine 4 was on location reporting an amonia leak and requested Hazmat 1 to the scene.

Cleveland-Hill Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Glenwood Ct. Command was on location reporting a working fire in a 2 story 4 apartment MDU. Mutual Aid was provided by Pine Hill and Snyder(FAST).

Snyder Firefighters responded early this morning for an Alarm of Fire on Audobon Dr. Command was on location reportina working fire. The fire was declared under control in about 60 minutes.
 
BUILDING COLLAPSE:
Brighton Firefighters responded last night for a report of a gas leak at Doyle Paint on Niagra Falls Blvd. Command was on location with a small fire and a partial building collapse.
