WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a dryer fire on Benzinger St. Engine 28 was on location with smoke showing and fire on the 1st floor and requested the balance of the 1st alarm. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes.

2 ALARM FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Clinton St. Engine 35 was on location with a 2 story brick 100x100 building with heavy fire and heavy black smoke in the rear. B-56 immediately requested additional equipment bringing Engine 28 and Ladder 2. Three minutes later B-56 requested the balance of the 2nd alarm to the scene. The fire was under control in about 54 minutes and the cause is under investigation.
 
MVA:
Swormville Firefighters responded for a report of a MVA with possible extrication on Millersport Highway yesterday. Swormville 9 was on location reporting a van in the ditch with both air bags deployed.

RESCUE 1 ELIMINATED?
A report on Channel 4 news today has stated that a consultant hired by the city to recommend measures for downsizing the department issued a letter stating that having Rescue 1 and Hazmat 1 in the city is not cost effective.A Click here for the article
 
LEVEL 1 HAZMAT:
Buffalo Firefighters responded today at the intersection of Elmwood Ave and Hertel Ave. Engine 36 was on location with a white powder substance in the road and requested Hazmat 1 to the scene. Hazmat 1 reported the substance as a lime based product and posed no danger.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on 7th St. B56 was on location with fire and heavy smoke conditions throughout in a 1 1/2 story vacant. The fire was under control in about 14 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Clare St. Engine 32 was on location with a vacant 2 1/2 and heavy fire conditions on the 1st floor. B56 requested an additional Engine and Truck company to the scene.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Sanford St. Engine 24 was on location with a vacant 2 1/2 story and fire showing on the first floor.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Prospect Ave. Engine 2 was on location with smoke and fire showing on the #3 side. B56 was reporting a well involved rear structure with extension to the front. The fire was under control in about 21 minutes.
 
KITCHEN FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday morning for a report of a structure fire on Herkimer St. Engine 19 was on location with a 2 1/2 story smoke on the first floor and a working kitchen fire.

LAWSUIT:
The Buffalo Proffesional Firefighters Association has filed papers in State Supreme Court to block the Citys' Control Board from using state grant money that is to help restructure the department. Full Story

Buffalo Firefighters responded Saturday evening for a report of a structure fire on Guilford St. Engine 22 was on location with fire on the 1st floor of a vacant 2 1/2.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Chandler St. Ladder 12 was on location reporting fire on all floors in a 2 1/2 story house. 
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Fargo Ave. B44 was on location with a 1 story garage well involved. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes.

WORKING FIRE;
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Walden Ave. Engine 33 was on location with smoke showing. B43 reported a working fire on the 2nd floor. The fire was under control in about 7 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Marilla Firefighters responded today for a report of smoke at a residence on Two Rod Rd. Command was on location reporting a working bedroom fire well involved and requested mutual aid from 2 different companies.
 
GRANT MONEY:
The following Fire Companies have recieved grant money under the FireACT grants for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety: Lancaster $65,934, Eden $79,887, East Aurora $57,236, City of Tonawanda $ 189,270.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Lanfield Dr. Engine 23 was on location with a bedroom fire on the 2nd floor of a 2 1/2 story MDU. The fire was under control in about 8 minutes and the cause is listed as arson.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Hamburg Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Cambridge St at the Cambridge Square Apartments. Command was on location with fire on the 1st floor of a 2 story MDU. Command requested a FAST team and multiple mutual aid companies to the scene.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Parkdale Ave. Engine 19 was on location with a working fire in  a 2 1/2 story house.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded late last night for an investigation of smoke on Stanley St. Engine 22 was on location with smoke showing from a 1 1/2 and fire on the 1st floor. B46 requested the balance of the 1st alarm to the scene. The fire was under control in about 8 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Deleware Ave. Engine 37 was on location with fire on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 story. The fire was under control in about 14 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Hamburg Firefighters responded today for a report of smoke conditions on Gowanda State Road. Hamburg Engine 1 was on location reporting a working fire and requested the balance of the 1st alarm.
 
BOAT FIRE:
Hamburg Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a boat on fire on Dickens Road. Command was on location with a boat fully involved with a possible exposure problem. There was no extension to the structure.

MULTIPLE ALARM FIRE:
Union Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Clinton St at the old Gardenville Lumber Yard. Command was on location with a well involved large commercial structure. Command ordered an exterior attack. A total of 10 different fire companies responded to this alarm. Firefighters were on scene for more than 5 hours.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters reponded yesterday for a report of a structure fire on Stanislaus St. Engine 22 was on location with heavy fire on the 1st floor and quickly spreading throughout the 2 1/2 story. The building is scheduled for emergency demolition.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Hastings Ave. Engine 23 was on location with fire on the 1st floor and basement of a 2 1/2 story. The fire was declared under control in about 12 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire at Walden Ave & Harmonia St. Engine 22 was on location with a 1 story attached garage well involved and an exposure problem on the #3 side. Engine 3 was special called to the scene for the exposure. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded late last night for a report of a structure fire on Northhampton St. Engine 21 was on location with a 2 1/2 story vacant and fire on the 1st floor. Fire spread quickly throughout the structure and additional equipment was called in. The fire was under control in about 16 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a structure fire on Plymouth Ave. B56 was on location with smoke showing. Ladder 9 reported fire through the #3 side and smoke on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Hauf St. Engine 21 was on location with heavy fire showing in a 2 1/2 story. This was the same house as the earlier fire. The house is scheduled for emergency demolition.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded late last nightfor a report of a structure fire on Hauf St. Engine 21 was on location with fire on the first floor of a 2 1/2 story. 2 Firefighters suffered minor injuries. The cause was listed as arson.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for an investigation of smoke on Fargo Ave. Engine 2 was on location with heavy smoke and fire on the 2nd floor from a 2 1/2 and requested the balance of the 1st alarm. This was a rekindle from the previous fire. The fire was under control in about 30 minutes and an emergency demolition was ordered.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Fargo Ave. Engine was on location with fire on the 1st floor of a 2 1/2 story. B44 reported fire had broke through the #4 side and threatened the exposure. B56 requested additional equipment bringing Engine 3 and Ladder 11. The cause was listed as arson and was declared under control in about 15 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Gladys Holmes Blvd. Engine 3 was on location with heavy fire on the 1st floor of a 2 story MDU. Ladder 11 reported extension to the second floor. B56 declared the fire under control in about 13 minutes.
