LEVEL 1 HAZMAT:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a Hazmat situation on Furhman Blvd. B-56 was on location with a barrel leaking oil.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Sheridan Park Firefighters responded this morning for an Alarm of Fire on Sawyer Ave at the 3M Plant. Command was on location reporting a working fire. Mutual Aid was provided by 7 other companies
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early yesterday morning for a report of a structure fire on Roeher Ave. Engine 21 was on location with fire showing on the first floor of a 2 1/2 story.

CHIMNEY FIRE:
Eggertsville Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a chimney fire on Canterburry Ct. Eggertsville 9 was on location with heavy smoke showing and a working chimney fire.
 
FATAL MVA/LEVEL 1 HAZMAT:
Chaffee-Sardinia Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a MVA on Rte.39 near Middle Rd. Command was on location with an overturned tanker carrying propane. A level 1 Hazmat was declared due to leaking diesel fuel and the propane. Southtowns Hazmat and CSX Hazmat crews responded to the scene. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of smoke in the residence on Wood Ave. Engine 31 was on location with fire showing on the first floor of a 1 1/2 story and requested the balance of the first alarm. The fire was under control in about 11 minutes. Photos
 
MVA:
East Aurora Firefighters responded yesterday for a report of a MVA on Boies Rd at Blakely Rd. Command was on location with a head-on 2 car MVA.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Eaton St. Engine 21 was on location with smoke showing and fire on the 2nd floor of a 1 1/2 story. The fire was under control in about 10 minutes.
 
MVA:
Swormville Firefighters responded yesterday for a report of a MVA at Smith Rd and Glenn Oak Dr. Swormville 9 was on location with a 2 car MVA with injuries.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded yesterday afternoon for a report of a structure fire on Lewis St. Engine 35 was on location with fire showing from a 2 1/2 story occupied. A space heater is to blame for the fire. The fire was under control in less than a hour.

ANNIVERSARY:
Saturday December 27th AT 2023 hrs is the 20th anniversary of the propane explosion that claimed the lives of six Buffalo NY Firefighters from Ladder 5 and two civilians at North Division and Grovesnor streets. The Firefighters are:

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded late last night for a report of a structure fire on Woltz Ave. Engine 22 was on location with smoke showing from the rear of a 1 1/2 story. E22 further reported a working fire in the same and extension into the walls to the attic. The fire was declared under control in about 21 minutes.

WATER RESCUE:
Marilla Firefighters responded today for a report of a snowmobiler into a pond on Three Rod Rd. Command was on location and requested Mutual Aid from Alden for their Underwater Dive Team.
 
LEVEL 1 HAZMAT:
Buffalo Firefighters responded today for a report of a Level 1 Hazmat on Elk St at Selkirk St. Engine 32 was on location with a unknown substance leaking from a barrel. No hazards were found at the scene.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of smoke in the residence on Bailey Ave. Engine 23 was on location reporting a working fire and requested the balance of the 1st alarm. The fire was under control in about 6 minutes.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a bedroom fire on Woodett St. Engine 36 was on location reporting smoke showing and a room and contents fire. The fire was under control in about 6 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded last night for a report of a structure fire on Dodge St. Ladder 6 was on location with fire showing from the attic of a 1 1/2 story. Engine 21 was delayed out of the station with truck problems and Engine 33 responded in place. The fire was under control in about 24 minutes and an emergency demolition was requested by B56.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded late last night for a report of a structure fire on Rother Ave. Engine 22 was on location with fire on the 1st floor rear of a 2 1/2 story. The fire was under control in about 9 minutes.
 
PERSON TRAPPED:
Elma Firefighters responded yesterday for a report of a MVA on Two Rod Rd at Stolle Rd. Command was on location reporting a 1 car rollover with entrapment. Command requested Mutual Aid from Marilla for a Hurst Tool and Jamison Road for an Ambulance.
 
MVA:
Wales Center Firefighters responded yesterday for a MVA on Big Tree Rd. Command was on location with a head on collision and requesting Mercy Flight to the scene.
 
GRANT MONEY:
Bowmansville Fire Company was awarded $60,855 in the latest round of the FireACT grants for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Goodyear Ave. Engine 31 was on location with smoke showing and fire on the 2nd floor of a large 2 1/2 story. Rescue 1 reported extension to the attic in the walls on the #3 side. The fire was under control in about 19 minutes.

Pine Hill Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Ivanhoe Dr. Command was on location with a working fire. Mutual Aid was provided by Cleveland Hill, Rescue, and U-Crest.
 
GRANT MONEY:
The following companies recieved grant money from Round 26 of the FireACT Grants for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety; Ellwood $130,950 and Reserve $18,000

WORKING FIRE:
Lancaster Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a structure fire on Central Ave. Lancaster 9-1 was on location with a well involved 1 story auto repair shop. Command requested mutual aid from Depew (1 Ladder to the scene, 1 Engine for fill-in), Twin District (1 Engine), and Bowmansville (FAST). The fire was under control in about 14 minutes.
 
WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a structure fire on Marion St. Ladder 12 was on location with a working fire in a 2 1/2 story.

WORKING FIRE:
Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Rother Ave. Engine 22 was on location with heavy fire on the first floor of a 2 1/2. One Firefighter suffered minor injuries fighting the blaze.

GAS LEAK:
South Line Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a natural gas leak on Losson Rd. South Line 9-1 was on location with a 6 inch medium pressure gas pipe ruptured. SL 9-1 requested Losson Rd shut down between Borden Rd and Westwood Dr.

South Line Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a shed fire on Cheekwood Dr. South Line 9-1 was on location reporting a working fire and requested mutual aid from Bellvue and Forks (1 Engine for fill-in). The fire was declared under control in about 10 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire o Busti Ave. Engine 2 was on location with smoke showing from the roof and a fire in the attic. The fire was under control in about 28 minutes.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Edison Ave. Engine 23 was on location with smoke showing from the rear of a 2 story MDU and further reported fire on the 1st floor. The fire was under control in about 6 minutes.

Rescue Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a MVA on Walden Ave. Rescue 9 was on location with a 2 car MVA and 1 person trapped needing extrication.

Buffalo Firefighters responded early this morning for a report of a smoke in the residence on Whitney Place. Engine 2 was on location with an attic fire and requested the balance of the first alarm.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this evening for a report of a structure fire on Cambria St. Engine 28 was on location with heavy fire from the chimney and extension into the attic. The fire was under control in about 12 minutes.
 
MVA:
Evans Firefighters responded this afternoon for a report of a MVA on Versailes Plank Rd. Rural Metro 518 was on location reporting a 2 car MVA, 3 patients ALS and 2 requiring extrication.

Buffalo Firefighters responded this morning for a report of a structure fire on Whitney Place. Engine 2 was on location with heavy fire and smoke on the 1st floor of a 2 story house. B43 reported extension to the 2nd floor.
